OUR VISION

To train & develop disciples useful to the kingdom of God

Matthew 28:18-20
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Jesus explains the call for believers in Matthew 28:18-20.  The verbs are as follows.  Go and make disciples, baptizing them, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

So that is our goal.  The youth & college ministry at Agape is designed to help individuals learn and draw near to God.  During their seven years with us, they will be trained to be useful to the kingdom of God.  So no matter where God calls them during their life.  They can be useful to the kingdom.

PROGRAMS

SUNDAYS
Worship Service – 11:00am-12:10am
Small Groups – 12:10pm-12:40pm

FRIDAYS
We design our Friday services with many things in mind. The Bible studies allow us to delve deeper into scripture. Spending an hour teaching, discussing, learning. The prayer nights allow us to instruct on prayer as well as practice praying. Praying for one another in small groups and learning corporate prayer together. The prayer board allows us to write down our prayer requests for others and for ourselves. Then the prayer answered board allows us to see how God has answered, never letting us forget how faithful God is to us.
As there are an average of four Fridays a month, we structure them as follows.

Bible Study – Worship, Discipleship, Fellowship
Prayer Night – Worship, Discipleship, Fellowship
Bible Study – Worship, Discipleship, Fellowship
Fun Night – Outreach (Evangelism)
Servant team meeting – 5:00pm
Praise practice – 6:00pm
Dinner – 7:00pm
Service – 7:30pm

3 YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN
We encourage students and staff to read the Bible daily. If we can read 1-2 chapters a day, we will read all of God’s word in 3 years. The program we are currently following is Moody’s Institutes 3 year bible reading plan.

DEVOTIONS
We encourage our students and staff to develop their relationship with God further by doing devotions. The outline we teach is SOAP. Scripture. Observation. Application. Prayer.
We use a variety of tools to do our devotions. Such as Our Daily Bread, Henry Blackaby, Oswald Chambers. Some are more in-depth than others.

RETREATS
Are vital to the growth and faith of individuals. Where they leave behind their cares for a little while, their distractions, and focus on God. Just as Moses left camp to go encounter God at Mt. Sinai, there are some interesting benefits to these experiences.
